not cough syrup
"When I think of cherry products, the first thing i am cautious of is that they may smell like cough syrup. This does not. This lotion is best used under a perfume, such as Japanese Cherry Blossom. I like this lotion better than JCB lotion because it is a little more subtle and it blends well with JCB Perfume even better than the JCB lotion blends with JCB perfume. Cherry Blossom helps bring out Japanese cherry Blossom, instead of overpowering it. when cherry Blossom is used alone, it is still a pleasant scent. It has a light, dark cherry aroma, as if you are picking cherries and there is, for some reason, a campfire nearby. It has an ever-so-faint smoky quality to it that makes it last on my skin and mix well with other products-it especially mixes well with its counterpart Japanese Cherry Blossom eau de parfum."

Pretty Scent
"I received this lotion as part of a gift set about 4 years ago. The scent was very pretty and pure at first, but over the years it's gotten rather waxy and bland. The tiny bit that remains today smells very off and the consistency has become rather soupy. I have no desire to finish the bottle. So, basically, it's great if you use up lotion quickly, but not if you want it to last for anything longer than a year."

So refreshing and softly scented!
"I bought both the lotion and body wash for my mom for Christmas this year. Her and I share all of our body washes and lotions, so of course I was all over this one! I love the scent because it is very soft and doesn't leave you feeling like you smell "too strong." If you want a scent that smells refreshing as well, this one is definitely for you!!"

Fresh, Clean, Love
"CB is a slightly powdery fresh scent that leaves me feeling so clean, refreshed, and feminine. I own both the shower gel and the lotion and pair them together, and love them both. If you haven't tried the newly formulated shower gel, i would recommend it because i actually (can't belive im saying this but...) love the new formula; it lathers so well. Used together, the shower gel and lotion leave my skin feeling clean and soft and me feeling pretty. It is a light and simple scent, however, so those looking for super fruity, strong mixed florals, or perfume-y scents, will be disappointed. CB is great for smelling nice and simple and clean, and that's why it is still one of my all time favs. Good job, B&BW!"

Cough Syrup??
"When I smelled this, the first thing I thought of was that it smelled like some sort of medicine-I think cough syrup or advil. It's also very strong, even too much for my liking and I usually don't mind that. I was really expecting to like this scent but sadly, I was disappointed."

Will always be my #1 choice...
"Cherry Blossom was the very first BBW scent I tried...and after trying so many since then, it is still my favourite by far. It is such a soft, clean, pretty scent, it's the best!! I use the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, lotion and body spray. You would think that would be too overpowering, but with Cherry Blossom it isn't at all...I can't get enough of the scent, it's THAT good!! My husband loves it too :) If you are looking for a soft scent that just makes you feel "pretty"....definitely give Cherry Blossom a try!!"

"Please bring back White Cherry Blossom. That was SO much better and such an amazing scent! It was so fresh and this one is fairly dull, lacking that sparkling scent of the White Cherry Blossom."

"This one does not do it for me. The face of the bottle is deceiving cause it makes you think its a fresh flora fragrance but it is not. It does not last and there is no appeal to it in my opinion. Not a good buy!"

Sweet and Pretty but I've been told...
"...that I smell like a grandma. No joke. Female co-workers say it EACH AND EVERY TIME I put it on. Annoys me, because I love it and I think it's good year round fragrance which I don't have many of. This is something I love, it's soft, friendly, mature and really pretty. 100% powdery-floral."

Airy, Light, Girly...
"This scent is airy, light and girly, perfect for a young woman or a girl. GREAT STUFF! However, try it in the store before you buy, might be a little too sweet for someone who likes woody, deeper and sexier fragrances."

Beautiful & Soft
"This was one of my first fragrances with Bath & Body. I love how feminine and clean it smells. It's not too over-powering and has a nice soft finish. It's not as musky as the Japanese Cherry Blossom, which is a little more "night-time" fragrance to me. I see it as free-spirited and pretty! Love it, love it, love it! Thanks!"

Very soft but just too powdery.....
"This is actually a nice soft plain scent. There is nothing wrong or gross about it at all.
But Imo, this version is too matronly/older and way too powdery scented for my taste.
If you love musky baby powder than you will like this. But, my fave version is Japanese Cherry Blossom..... It is mixed perfectly with warm notes, a spicier powdery scent, and definitely makes a killer sexy yet comforting aroma.
This is just too blahh and I hate to say this, because I am not in my 20's anymore...but its very gramma-ish...like the 103yr old gramma-ish powder smell! And yes, I do love my Mammaw very very much and I know that I will proudly be one someday too....but I guarantee that I'll still be wearing some sexy musks, sweet gourmand pralines, berry fruits, creamy vanilla and oriental type of scents then too! No baby powder on me....just on my sweet lil' ones behinds...thank you ;)"

Perfume scents arent my fav. but..
"I was looking for a scent for my friend who was graduating she is really girly and loves girly scents. and i don't like perfume scentt. I am very picky with them but i know she does. i was trying examples on my hand and finally came across this one this is perfect! the scent isn't to strong but its perfect for those who like perfume scents she loved it! This is her signature scent and its been 3 years from now"

Don't ever discontinue this scent!
"I absolutely love love love this scent! It has a very fresh and feminine scent. It's not too overpowering, but yet not too subtle. The fragrance of the lotion is very long lasting, and the formula is very moisturizing. I don't find it all greasy, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. This is my go to lotion for everyday."

"I love love this scent. For the recent reviewer this is NOT Japanese cherry blossom!!! One would be pretty stupid to pick up the wrong fragrance. Bath and body works makes dozens of scents. Obviously, a lot of us love this scent. There is no reason to get that upset. My advice is to just pay attention when you shop and dont buy what you don't want.. I think this scent is FABULICOUS!!!!"

Pretty and Soft!
"It never fails that whenever I go into BBW, I will find a scent that has flown under my radar, and fall in love!! This was the one! How did I ever miss it?? Lovely and soft, ultra feminine and not overpowering at all. It really is a scent for all ages. I misted the fragrance spray on my hand and could not stop sniffing myself LOL! The fruity scents are great, but I'm glad the florals are "coming back" into style. My favorites are White Citrus, Cozy Autumn Vanilla (hope it comes back!), Enchanted Orchid (miss you!) and now Cherry Blossom. Oh, and that Coconut Passionfruit one from last summer was fantastic also! Just found out the following are being discontinued--Black Amethyst, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Forever Sunshine and one other one that I forgot (sorry!) Keep the great new scents coming BBW! Love ya!!"
