Interesting
"The first time I smelled Malibu Heat, I had no interest in it, even though my friend who was with me seemed to love it. The next time I was in Bath and Body Works, I smelled it again, and wondered if it was even the same product! I still didn't buy it. Then, someone gave it to me as a gift, and it really grew on me! It seems to smell different every time I use it. I have it in body lotion and I have to say I might like it better in a spray. The lotion smells kind of heavy to me, but it is still a good scent."

Disappointing!
"The scent of this lotion is far too faint...on top of that, the coconut and pineapple notes seem to compete in a sour, unpleasant way. Disgusting."

WOWZA
"I may have already written a review on this but i dont remember so im just going to do another! I read a couple reviews and one mentioned that it smelled like beach in a bottle. That is like so true it is like if you close ur eyes you would seriously smell the palm trees, sand, and ocean waves! I have used this a number of times and i think it would be a great beach scent (DUH) to like wear to the beach or like a summery picnic, etc. This is a gr8 scent and those of you looking for a new one to try should definetly consider this :)!"

If Carried Away had a coconut note
"This scent reminds me a lot of Carried Away, which is a scent I never liked. It has a very fruity smell, but the fruit isn't quite right. It smells overly sweet and almost putrid, which is the same problem I had with Carried Away. I do love the coconut, though, and I think that's the only thing keeping this scent from being a total write off in my book. I might carry this as a travel sized lotion in my purse, but I would never buy any full size products. The name is a little silly, too. Malibu Heat sounds like it would be the name of a TV cop show from the 80's. The packaging is really pretty, but I do feel like it's furthering the 80's vibe I'm getting from this fragrance."

Surprising
"I have been back and forth about this scent. When I first smelled it, I thought it was decent enough, but not my favorite. I came back to the store weeks later and smelled it again and decided I wasn't a big fan, so I wasn't going to buy it. Then today, one of my friends/classmates put this lotion on her hands while we were sitting in class (we are in our 20s, in graduate school). I didn't see her put the lotion on, but I smelled this intoxicating, yummy aroma from across the room. I have since decided that this is a GREAT summer scent and will definitely be adding it to my BBW collection. However, it is still a little different from my usual and not my absolute favorite scent, so it only gets 4 stars from me."

Beach in a Bottle

"It's not bad at all, the scent is pleasant but odd.. i don;t know how to describe it other then it smells.. hot.. like summer, not in a bad way.. but not the best scent out there. The name is right, it truly smells like malibu heat, its just... Yeah. I would reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a summer scent that isn't too heavy or too fruity :). Definitly nice, just not for me."

Great Summer Lotion!
"I love it! It smells amazing, like a hot's summers day! I recieved this from a close friend for my birthday in early June. It smells AMAZING. I got the fragrance mist, and I spray it on me every morning for work. I Just love it!! Recommended to ALL!"

"Definitely enjoy this for summer but I also feel it is very normal and nothing really stands out about it except for the fact it smells like sun tan lotion. Not overly impressed."

GREAT Summer Lotion!!
"what an awesome scent! Now I did find that with the Malibu Shower Gel the fruits are a little more noticeable and with this lotion the coconut is more dominant. They still do coordiante nicely together- all of the exact same fragrant notes, just a difference in which you smell a little more. This is a beacy smell- and what I love is that the coconut is real creamy- not the nastly sunblock smell!
I do like the bottle- I disagree with a previous reviewer on that- there's nothing wrong with it. It is different and a perfect summer look! Regardless it is defintely not a big deal since we wear the lotion not the bottle so as long as you like this product (and I really do!!) that is what really matters!
I LOVE THE ENTIRE MAILIBU COLLECTION- FROM THIS LOTION TO THE SHOWER GEL RIGHT DOWN TO THE HAIR MIST! THEY ARE ALL AWESOME SUMMER PRODUCTS. NOW A MALIBU CANDLE AND WALFLOWER
BULB WOULD BE APPRECIATED- HINT HINT BBW!"

Found my summer scent!
"I wasn't sure about this at first, but the verdict is in...love this! I love coconut and I love pineapple, and this scent is the perfect combo. Neither one overpowers, they just blend so well. I don't really smell the orange in there, but maybe that is what holds the coconut and pineapple together. I layer the body wash, lotion and body spray and the scent is light and refreshing. If anything, I wish it was a tad stronger and longer lasting. I would buy this in an EDT if they made it. I purchased this during the buy 3 get 3 deal over Memorial Day weekend, and I wish I'd purchased doubles of it all instead of mixing it up with some other old favorites."
