"This smells good, but it appeals to me so much more in hand sanitizer form. It still smells like a warm vanilla sugary kinda smell though."

Family Favorite
"I like the new packaging for Warm Vanilla Sugar.The name says it all and describes it perfectly.The shower gel is best used in combination with the lotion and or Fine Fragrance Mist as they seem to last all day when used in combination.This has been a favorite in my family for years.One of my sisters wears this scent almost every day and my mom wears it several times a week.[She is very picky about what scents she wears]All around favorite.Please don't ever stop making this scent!"

Another Great Product
"This shower gel perfectly compliments the FFM and the lotion. Warm Vanilla Sugar is a scent that brings to mind holidays, comfort, and for me, cookies baking in the oven. The packaging on this product effectively underlines these images as well. It is meant to be a fragrance experience and it does not disappoint. The gel lathers beautifully (as do all the shower gels at BBW.) I am so happy to have discovered this line. 5 stars PLUS!"

"This scent you would expect to smell like dead insects if u just had the lotion, but no it smells so sweet and sugary and just the perfect warm and cuddly scent. If u looking for a great vanilla scent then this is not the one it barely has any vanilla in it, but if you are looking for a sugary, warm campfire scent, this is for u. I products in this scent have a huge difference, I would suggest getting the body spray and this :)"

Very Vanilla-ish
"This is a great body wash scent. It leaves a sweet warm vanilla scent, just like it claims to. I really love it. It smells like a bakery. This scent lasts for about a day after using it."

Overall a great product!
"The scent is good but the lather is absolutely wonderful. Using a good amount of the product on my loofa I am able to produce an extremely bubbly lather and the product feels very nice on my skin! I also love the design for this scent... its so cute! Similar to most of BBW's shower gels the entire shower becomes a scent paradise and I am able to smell the scent on my skin long after my shower is over. I also feel very clean afterwards and I look forward to using any of BBW shower gels at the end of the day. Thankyou so much for that! :)"

Great Fall-Winter shower gel
"I love seasonal scents. Bought this October to use for the Fall-Winter season. Smelled great in the bottle and even better lathered on the shower sponge. A little goes a long way!"

Such a Warm Scent!
"I'm a huge fan of vanilla scents, and this one does not disappoint me at all! It's subtle, and I don't end up smelling like a cookie. I've actually started using it more for when I shave my legs since it leaves them very smooth and not dried out. I use this scent year-round and always feel so pretty afterwards. :)"

nice comeback!
"I wore Warm Vanilla Sugar until about 2003. At that point, the formulation changed and for years, I disliked it. I was skeptical about the reformulation this time, but I was surprised and pleased! It's a lovely winter scent, soft and clean. The vanilla scent is very pleasant -- one can tell it's vanilla but won't make you smell like a sugar cookie. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) I'm very glad the fragrance was updated."

Allergic to new formula? And wheres the fragrance?
"For YEARS, this has been my go-to shower gel...what happened??? I recently ran out of my stock of the original formula and purchased the "new and improved with shea butter" version. I was actually worried while in the store since it looked so different (different color and a lack of WVS scent) but decided to give it a try.
Well, I've used it three times and EACH time it made my skin itchy. At first, I didn't put two and two together, but I just got out of the shower and even while I was in the shower I found myself scratching all over. Bummer. :-( I checked the ingredients list on the two bottles (old and new) and several things have changed so I don't know exactly what it is that is causing my issue. I'm not prone to allergies and never have had a problem with products before - scented or otherwise. This is a new one for me.
On a side note, I agree with the others re: the fragrance. NOT as strong as the original one (which I LOVED). Very, VERY disappointed in the change and will be returning what I purchased to the store. :-("

"This is an oldie but a goodie. Can't go wrong with a simple Vanilla scent! I don't understand the other reviewers stating that the fragrance does linger after the shower or bath. I have NEVER had a shower or bath gel fragrance remain on my body for the whole day. If you want the scent to linger, then I suggest using the body spray and lotion in the same scent after the shower."

"I wasn't a huge fan of this fragrance for a while, but I decided to try this again, and I'm so glad I did!
PROS:
- Scent is luxurious and warm. Very vanilla, but not overwhelming.

Smells like the body cream BUT poor after scent
"I always buy in pairs, so I have both the body cream and the body gel for this scent. I haven't used the body gels in a while, so I can't really compare the old and new formulas. In general, here's what I think:
PROS:
- scent is, if not the same, very similar to the body cream
- moisturizes/softens skin (I don't have to use lotion after using this, so I use this at night and use the cream during the day).

Forgot to add the fragrance
"OMG! What happened to my favorite Warm Vanilla Sugar. So you added Shea, which lather's more and my skin feel's soft, but you forgot to add the fragrance! There is NO scent at all! NOTHING! I will start looking for an alternative because it's not worth the money if it doesn't have a scent."

Smells more like the old formula?
"Thanks to a mini gift set I received eight years ago, I fell for Warm Vanilla Sugar and became a regular B&BW shopper. With the big packaging/formula change a few years back, I thought the toasty-ness of the scent was diminished, particularly in the Eau de Toilette.
Maybe I'm imagining it, but this new shower gel puts the warm back in WVS. I don't think it has a lot of staying power, but I prefer soap that way.
If you're an old fan missing this classic, you might not agree with me, but give this a try and see what you think."

Not what I was expecting
"This was just okay. The worker in the store recommended it because I told her that I love vanilla bean noel. Well this isn't my vanilla bean noel; it's not a rich, creamy, caramelly food scent like vanilla bean noel. This is a lot more toned down and mature. It smelled to me like a mixture of vanilla and florals. Performance wise it was great but the scent is just not preferable for me."

Awssome Product!
"I own so many things in this scent! It is so good. It lathers well, and has a great smell of vanilla, caramel, and sugar. It's a very "warm and cuddly" scent. Great for winter and fall, but I use it year round! One of my favorite bath and body works products! I hope that this scent never becomes discontinued!"
