"Warm Vanilla Sugar is an amazing scent. It is very warm, cozy, and kind of musky. This is very moisturizing! I have eczema and I haven't had dry skin for 4 months! This has lasted me a long time and I surely recommend it!!!"

Warm and Cozy
"Yummy! It's a bit like a sugar cookie, but a bit softer of a scent. It is mild to medium as far as strength of the smell and lasts most of the day, but layering with the gel and body spray will give it a boost in both areas. Good for winter!
I can understand why some people are smelling the 'plastic' smell. I've come across this phenomenom in my adventures in soap and lotion making. Sometimes the ingredients themselves have an almost general vegetable oil or shortening smell even if they come unscented(like the rice bran oil and hydrolyzed milk protein), and that can come across a bit plasticy. If the added fragrance scent is not strong enough (vanilla fragrance is usually very light) or if the scent is itself has a stong artificial smell (staight vanilla scent has a strange alcohol or artificial note to them, ever smell a bottle of vanilla you make cookies with?) you may get a strange plasticy or waxy note. Depending on your body chemistry, once the lotion is applied to your skin the plasticy smell should disappear and the vanilla fragrance should become more evident. But that is not true for all bodies. Since WVS is the lightest fragrance of all of the creams that I have smelled, perhaps the base cream has a distinct scent that comes through, even though the base cream may be unscented-which I have yet to find a truly unscented fragrance. Just a theory, but I don't think plastic is in the ingredients :-)"

yummy and pretty!
"i love how this makes me smell like cookies baking in the oven! it is so funny when people are like is someone eating a cookie i feel like laughing so loud but anyway even though it smells like a bakery it is actually a pretty scent. i bought this by accident one time and i loved it more than the one i was going to get! the body creams make my skin so soft and they smell amazing so it is totally worth it. for me they last a while and im just in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yummy
"This smells just like raw cookie dough! It's a really lovely, foody scent. It seriously gives me a compulsion to just start eating it. It just smells absolutely delicious. I do detect that plasticky smell that other reviewers have mentioned, but its really not very apparent. The cream itself is thicker than the lotion, but not as thick as the body butter. This product makes me want to try WVS in other forms. I definitely recommend it."

Faint plastic-like scent - terrible!
"Warm vanilla sugar was my favorite scent in past years! It smelled wonderful. I depleted my supply and purchased several body creams in this scent a couple of weeks ago and was stunned to find the scent is nearly non-existent. There is a very faint hint of plastic which fades within a few minutes, but other than that, there is no scent whatsoever. VERY disappointed in this product!!"

Best of WVS Body line
"Of all the Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Care products, the Body Cream seems to be the most scented. Like other reviewers have mentioned, most of the other items in this line seem to be almost unscented...but that is not the case with the WVS body cream. I also usually never buy any of the body creams because they typically have an after-scent. The WVS Body Cream seems to be the only exception to this rule. As far as scent, no it does not smell like the original WVS that they packaged up to 2008 (the one that smelled like vanilla, coconut, and cocoa powder...had the sugar cubes on the packaging). This body cream however does smell similar to the original "Vanilla Bean" lotion I purchased as a teenager in '95 and happens to be a scent I miss very much and liked more than the previous WVS. I only wish the rest of this body line had a more prominent scent. For now I will stick to the Body Cream, Hand Soaps, Pocket-Bac, and Home Fragrances products in WVS...the rest of the body care line seems pointless to buy if you can't smell during or after using."

"this body cream used to be my favorite 5-3 years ago. but like many body creams such as black raspberry vanilla for example, the new formulas that bbw presented has ruined their greatness. I really wish warm vanilla sugar go back to be an online exclusive if that meant it would go back to the old formula/package like other classics. how sad .."

Love it!
"This is perfect and I love it!!!! I'm very sensitive to dyes and anything that's too strongly scented. It has a fresh scent, tolerable for someone who suffers with fragrance sensitivities. I have not purchased cologne, perfume or scented lotion/creams in years...but fell in love with "Warm Vanilla Sugar" Triple Moisture Body Cream. Try it...I'm sure you'll like/love it."

Warm Vanilla Sugar I think
"The body mist is still the same from what I can smell but what happened to the lotion and body cream? It just does not smell right. This used to be my favorite scent and I received so many compliments on it but now it has a wierd smell. I tolerate it because I so want it to be the original scent. PLEASE BRING IT BACK PLEASE"

Why did they mess with this?
"I have loved, loved, loved this one for years. It's all I ever bought. It's all I ever wore. But for some reason, BBW decided to change the formula. I brought home 6 new lotions to discover is smells nothing like it used to. They've just been sitting on the shelf for the past 6 months because I can't stand to put it on anymore. It smells cheap and plastic. It smells nothing like it used to.... and it smells nothing like vanilla or brown sugar anymore. Thumbs down to B&BW for ruining this one."

"I have to say that I wasn't expecting the TMC to perform as well as it did! I had two of the mini ones from before they were discontinued, and every night I would put them on my skin. They smoothed and moisterized it so well! Also, with most TMC's I've owned, they tend to go bad after a few months if they're not used up by then and a rotten undertone appears, but that didn't happen with this! The scent and color were preserved perfectly throughout months of use. And don't even get me started on the scent- I love it! It's so warm and cozy, perfect for any time of the season, especially winter. I'm very impressed!"

Smells like chemicals.
"The only reason I bought this one is because the local BBW was sold out of Vanilla Bean Noel (On October 31st too, like can we all just wait until after Halloween is over before pushing the Holiday stuff?) This smells of chemicals and plastic with a hint of vanilla."

"I was a big fan of warm vanilla sugar, but after about 2009, the scent changed when they changed the formula. Since then, I try it every time when they change the formula, but it never smells the same... To me, the new smell doesn't smell like warm vanilla sugar, but more like unscented, and slightly plastic. The smell isn't strong, formulation is nice, but I miss the old scent. Wish they would bring it back, I would definitely stock up if they did!"
