"I think I was expecting this to smell more like butterscotch. The scent is just already, I didn't care for it too much. The burn was great from top to bottom and the throw was decent. I noticed that toward the end of the candle, I could definitely smell more "butter" than anything else, lol. I wouldn't repurchase, but it was ok."

Love this candle!
"I received this candle a few days ago and absolutely love it! It has a wonderful hot buttered rum smell. My son and girlfriend, visiting from out of town loved it too! This is definitely going on my favorites list!"

Smells So Yummy!
"This smells like coffee and rum and it's just amazing! If you don't like coffee smells then this probably isn't for you but, there is no words to describe. It's just amazing!"

Smells like Eggnog...
"Hot Buttered Rum smells like creamy Eggnog with real booze in it! BBW did not miss the mark on this one... I know that BBW had an actual Eggnog scent in one of their test stores last year, but I never seen Eggnog released as part of their holiday lineup. If you love the scent of vanilla, eggs, heavy cream, sugar, a dash of nutmeg and some good strong booze, then you'll love this candle. I don't particularly care for the new look of the White Barn candles, and in my opinion they ARE Stlatkin candles with a different label. But throw this candle in a silver sparkly holiday sleeve, and you won't see the label anyway. The wicks are strong and melt the wax into an even pool, with no tunneling whatsoever."

Very Nice
"Hot buttered rum is a nice warm fall/winter scent. What I love about this particular candle is that the throw is wonderful. The burn has been even for me. I have no complaints, this is a nice scent with a nice throw!"

Smells so much better when lit
"When I first smelled this, I thought it was totally disgusting. It smelled way too sweet and way too strong. I was actually buying it for my boyfriend and he loves those overly-sweet scents, so I knew he'd love it. Once it was actually lit though, I was very surprised at how good it smelled. It wasn't as over-powering as it appears."

"The scent of this candle made my house smell amazing! After 10 minutes the candle made my living room smell like butterscotch! I don't know what it is about candles and scents, but it made my home feel more cozy and inviting! I already purchased another 3-wick candle."

Not Impressed
"I fell in love with this candle in the store, but when I got home and started burning it, I couldn't smell it! I sat in my room for an hour with it burning and realized I couldn't smell it, so I decided to leave the room and come back to see if meybe I had just adjusted to the smell. When i reentered my room, I smelled it for a split second before it went away. I blew the candle out and lit up a mini cinnimon nut bread candle and within a matter of minutes my room was filled with fragrance. Why is it that a mini candle took so little time to fragrance a room while the three wick of hot buttered rum couldn't do it in an hour? I am very disappointed and will be more sceptable when purchasing candles in the future."

"This candle smells sooo yummy. It leans to the sweet side but it smells exactly like the name I have it in my kitchen along with french bagutte so nice together."

Really Good!
"This candle smells of butterscotch candy. Very sweet and gourmand. Makes you feel like having some dessert. Very good throw. It filled my whole place in half hour. A must buy!"

"I can hardly smell my 3-wick Hot Buttered Rum when it's burning. I am used to great throws on the other candles, but this one is barely detectable.

Very Sweet

Delicious Scent! Must buy!!!
"Just recently purchased this awesome three wick candle and it is to die for! The aroma is so grand it's just like hot buttered rum should be! I had to buy it immediately after carrying it around the store smelling it over and over again, lol! I burned it last night and the aroma is very strong the scent filled up my dining room, living room and kitchen! If you enjoy sweet, bakery like , strong scents you will love this candle. Also the gold lid and jar design would make it a nice gift for the holidays! If you don't believe me just smell it in store for yourself!!"
