Hands down the BEST candle purchase ever!
"Winter is my all time favorite holiday scent in every form - candles, wallflowers, home fragrance oil. The scent itself is hard to describe so I recommend everyone try it for themselves. Its cool and crisp, woodsy but sweet. It reminds me of a snowy day, pine trees and woods, sparkling snow and that sweetness in the air around the holidays. LOVE IT! So though my opinion about the fragrance may be a bit biased because I love it so, my review of the performance is not. This has been the absolute best performing candle that I have ever purchased from BBW/Slatikin. The BEST. The cold throw was strong and rich. When I lit it the first time the flames were high and the wax pool evened out within 20 minutes. It continued to burn beautifully, the flames danced and the throw was out of this world. I could smell this candle burning in my living room when I was upstairs in my bedroom. My house is not that small so this blew me away. Then being downstairs I kept getting whiffs of the fragrance and it was just so perfect. It stayed true to the cold throw and even though it was extremely strong, it did not give me a headache. The wax is staying a clean white color and the wicks have formed mushroom tops. I am head over heels in love with this fragrance and the performance of this candle. I am definitely buying multiples, and would recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing holiday fragrance."

Woodsy
"This is a lighter version of Winter Night. It smells of woods, chimney smoke. A very good purchase for Winter. It has a great throw that fills my whole apartment in a matter of minutes."

So many similar scents
"This scent isn't bad. It's especially good for people who like really woodsy scents because it smells just like the woods in winter. However, I feel like since this scent got so popular BBW has released other candles that smell TOO similar to it. Winter Night and Fireside, for example. I have a hard time detecting much of a difference between those two and this one other than a few notes that are stronger in one than the other. It's definitely good to have multiple scents in the same category type scent, but they shouldn't smell so close to each other. Marshmallow Fireside, for example, is a good variation of a woodsy scent that smells different enough from this. Like I said, the scent isn't bad and BBW definitely needs to carry scents like it, but I'd like to see a little more variation in the smells."

Winter in a jar
"I can see why everyone loves this candle. It just smells so fresh and clean and .....wintery. It's like winter in a jar. Every time I smell it I feel like I just stepped outside to freshly fallen snow. Not only is the scent great but the packaging is adorable. Love everything about this candle."

Very nice candle
"I smelled this candle in the store and thought it was nice. Not as good as some of the others from BBW, but pleasant. I got it only because I couldn't find another Christmas one I liked better. However, once I got home and lit it, I was pleasantly surprised. It smells better once it's lit and the throw is amazing. It makes all 3 levels of my house smell good."

A winter favorite since 2009
"My mom surprised me the Christmas of 2009 with a Winter candle in a snowman. I LOVE the fragrance of this candle. To me it smells like woodsmoke and fresh snow. I love it. I am on my second candle and I also got a hand wash/lotion caddy. I will continue to buy this candle, I hope they continue to make it!"

Totally smitten!
"For the past week or so I have been having a torrid love affair with 'marshmellow fireside', and while this scent will always have a place in my heart and home...there is a new candle in my life, by the name of 'winter'. For me 'winter' smells like walking outside on a cold brisk day with a gray sky hinting at snowfall and smoke billowing from neighboring chimneys...it is pure comfort and the smell is heavenly. Waiting for the next sale to stock up on this one! I must say it is getting very difficult for me to decide which bbw candle to burn...there are so many amazing ones!"

Best Scent Hands Down!
"This is my third year stocking up on the Winter 3-wick candle. My husband and I absolutely LOVE IT! We wait for it to go on sale before the Holidays and then buy maybe 10 of them and burn them all year. EVERYONE who comes into my home absolutely loves it. It is a perfect blend, not too sweet, not too spicy - just PERFECT. I continue to try new scents every year, but they all disappoint compared to this one. It fills the house with a creamy smooth scent that is so yummy. It smells like the holidays without the sickening sweet smell of some of the bakery-type scents, and without an overpowering cinnamon, mint, or pine scent like some of the others. I burn one downstairs and within about 20 minutes the entire house smells wonderful. My sister is very sensitive to strong smells, but she loves this scent. If you store it with the cover on it will not loose any scent. I am burning one right now from my purchase over a year ago and it smells as good as ever. I just ordered 10 more for the Holidays and the coming year."

Headache in a jar!
"I wanted to love this candle but sadly this canlde gives me such a headache. I wasn't loving the smell either while burning. I quickly gave it to my mom and she didn't even like it. I tried to like it but I just couldn't. For people with migraines I dont recommend this candle at all."

Pefect Blend of Balsam and Pine
"Alone, balsam and pine may be overpowering, but Slatkin did something to blend these perfectly. This is a cool and warm scent combined, and it has an excellent throw. The wicks perform great, no problems. This will appeal to men and women alike. A favorite for me in the winter collection, but I do burn it throughout the year!"

"This is not a a sweet smelling candle, more of like a musk type scent, I always pick the more sweet smelling candles, but this is very nice scent. It really does smell like a winter night COZY!!!!!"
