Very Unique
"I gave it 4 stars because it is not good in every form that it is sold in. the lotion lasts longer without losing its original scent than the cream, although I feel the cream holds the smell better initially. It is still very good in the cream, but you need to use it quickly or else it can turn bad, in which case you can only smell the old cream smell at that point. I gave 5 stars for the fragrance because it is original and unlike any other fragrance at B& B. You have to understand the sophistication of the fragrance in order to appreciate it. If you like dark smells such as Gucci Envy, you will understand why this fragrance is well-loved (it does not smell like Gucci Envy, but for those of you who know the scent, you will understand what family this scent is in and its dark mysterious tone). I love this fragrance because it makes me feel feminine yet sophisticated, instead of just feminine. Do not expect it to have any florals in it. It does smell exactly like its name, Black Amethyst. This is what I expect from its name. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone, and most of my friends wouldn't like this scent, which is the only reason why I don't usually recommend this. However, you will like it if you gravitate toward dark and musky scents. this one is a good one. It makes you feel intelligent and powerful."

"I hope someone from Bath and Body is reading the reviews on this because I feel the same way...DO NOT get rid of this scent!!! I too receive compliments ALL the time on this and I love the way it smells . Please put it back in stores!!!"

ABSOLUTE BEST fragrance EVER!!!
"This is my MOST favorite fragrance! Black Amethyst is what introduced me to Bath and Body works! I found a small travel size lotion at work and fell in love! I've never had more compliments than when I wear this lotion...it's the BEST! I'm SOOOO sad that it is no longer in the stores! :( PLEASE don't ever get rid of this fragrance!!!!"

Can't live without
"This is by far the best product I've ever used by Bath and Body Works. I noticed they dont sell this in the stores anymore and im really sad about it. I was going to buy a whole bunch of them. I do't go to the stores anymore because this fragrance isn't there. Kinda sad I know but this is the best smell EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

BEST SCENT

Black Amethyst
"PLLLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEE put this scent back on the shelf. I love it and was so disappointed when it wasn't available in my local store. Thank goodness a clerk told me to check on line. Really this is a sophisticated fragrance that modern, mature women like to smell good in the office without being offensive. Please reconsider."

"It's really just not good at all. It's not bad necessarily in how it smells, but how certain notes of the fragrance are just way too strong. I usually don't mind heavy scents either but this was just overwhelming."

AWESOME FRAGRANCE
"Black Amethyst keep adult women in your stores. This is a very mature fragrance. I always get compliments when I wear it. Woman do not always want to smell like a fruit. My favorite B&BW fragrance. I went to the store to buy & was disappointed when told it is discontinued. I have received B Amethyst as a gift from my husband. I have also given it away as a gift. It is an upgrade from the other fragrances you sell. Black Amethyst can compete with the other high end frangrances sold in dept stores. Please reconsider selling this fragrance. As of today, I have to purchase it on line and pay shipping costs."

"After you discontiuned a fragrance I liked (Chocolate 'something'); found Black Amethyst was the closest to it. Please don't discontinue Black Amethyst as it is the only fragrance I really like."

A nice sensual scent
"I've read some other recent reviews saying Black Amethyst is being discontinued, and I really hope that's not the case! I don't always wear "sensual" scents, but I do like this one once it settles in (it takes 2 or 3 minutes, there's something with the immediate notes that I'm not a big fan of, but once they mostly fade it's great). I especially like it after my evening showers, to help start slowing me down for the night.
I gave 4 stars for the overall rating because the lotion doesn't moisturize quite as well as I wish it did, and seems to take a while to sink into my skin. But it's not too much worse than many other lotions on the market.
Sadly, B&BW is usually just a little out of my price range, so I bought this, like almost everything else I'm currently using, at the last semi-annual sale. I'm hoping Black Amethyst at least reappears for those, so I can get more in a few months!"

Your decision to discontinue is WRONG!
"I'm upset that you discontinue this scent. Both gender complements me. This is my fav scent that makes me feel CHIC, confident,& beautiful! If an overwhelming # of the users want change, it's got to be change for the BETTER, not worse, your decision to discontinue this made me feel WORSE!"

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T IT!!!!
"I stumbled across this scent a couple of years ago while shopping at a local B & B works. I instantly feel in love with it. I've always gotten compliments while wearing it. I've been told it's a sexy scent on me. I'm very disappointed Black Amethyst is being discontinued. PLEASE RECONSIDER IT! It's "my" scent and I haven't been able to find anything comparable to it. PLEASE!!!"

best scent ever!
"This is my favorite bath and body creation ever! I wear it all the time and get compliments everyday. I am so upset it is being discontinued. I even tried purchasing it at the outlet stores and they too are out of this fabulous scent. Please reconsider ending this great lotion. I will have to order as many as I can online to stock up."

best scent
"I love this scent! It rivals some of my designer perfumes and I receive compliments every single time I wear it. I absolutely hate that this scent is being discontinued. I feel as though every time Bath and Body Works creates a great scent for a woman who is older than 16 they discontinue it straightway. This scent and velvet tuberose have been my faves and I will really miss this one. I hope it will be brought back."

So Sad!!
"I am so sad that this scent is being discontinued!!! I was just told this when I went to visit my local BBW and bought a bunch right then and there to stock up. I absolutely LOVE this smell!!! It is one of my signature fall/winter smells. I wish that it wasn't being discontinued :("
